The Story
This residence economizes square footage by using readily available materials, compact spaces, simple details and creative use of standard construction techniques. The interior’s main circulation corridor on the ground floor has been eliminated, permitting the principle rooms to open up into each other. With a zero lot line on two sides of the residence, the outdoor living space was severely limited so we incorporated access to the roof and provided a roof top patio and planters to provide a place for outdoor living and give the client a private panoramic view of the city.
