Condos in a barn
Renfrew

The BarnCondo reimagines missing middle housing through the warmth and character of mass timber construction. Inspired by the agrarian vernacular of rural Ontario, each unit is crafted with exposed heavy timber frames, vaulted ceilings, and skylights that flood the interior with natural light — delivering the feel of a custom home within a shared, community-oriented building. Vertical cedar cladding and standing-seam metal roofing give the exterior a timeless barn aesthetic, while floor-to-ceiling glazing connects residents to the landscape beyond.

Designed as a modular, repeatable building type, the BarnCondo offers a scalable solution to the missing middle housing gap — dense enough to be economical, yet human in scale and rich in material quality. Whether nestled at the edge of a golf course, a forest, or a rural village, these stacked condominiums bring together families, neighbours, and generations under one roof — proving that attainable housing doesn't have to mean anonymous housing.

Design Insight - Loft Living

Volume changes everything. Soaring mass timber frames, vaulted ceilings, and skylights make compact condo living feel genuinely spacious — the loft experience, brought to missing middle housing.

Wood in the woods

Wood in the woods

There is no finish quite like wood. Mass timber brings warmth, texture, and a living quality to every space — material beauty that only deepens with time.

Design Insight - Places you want to live in

Character is built from what you can touch. Mass timber frames, warm wood grain, and natural textures create spaces that feel genuinely worth living in — not just functional, but beautiful in the way that only honest materials can be.
